BARBERRY
Often used in the treatment of liver problems, especially when congestion and Jaundice are present, it promotes the flow of bile, stimulates digestion and appetite and eases constipation.
BEARBERRY
Acts on the urinary tract, toning and soothing the lining of the bladder. Its antiseptic and diuretic properties are valuable in the treatment of cystitis, bladder stone and gravel incontinence and kidney failure.
BURDOCK
Gently helps restore the natural balance of the body. Also useful in the treatment of rheumatism and eczema, especially when the skin is dry and scaly.
CHICKWEED
Often used to treat skin problems, rheumatism and respiratory problems. It is rich in vitamins calcium, zinc and iron.
DANDELION
One of the oldest medicinal herbs, useful in treating liver problems including jaundice. Its powerful diuretic effects can help relieve fluid retention and its cleansing action is of benefit in cases of arthritis and rheumatism
ELDERBERRY
A berry of many uses, including the treatment of bruises and sprains, constipation rheumatism and respiratory problems
PEPPERMINT
Eases flatulence and colic while promoting digestion. The essential oils soothe the stomach lining helping ease vomiting and nausea. Also useful for travel sickness.
RASPBERRY LEAF
Well known for its effect on the reproductive tract. Assists whelping by strengthening the pelvic muscles, toning the uterus and reducing the risk of haemorrhage.
SKULLCAP
Has a gentle sedative calming effect, useful in treating problems such as hysteria, excitability and epilepsy.
VALERIAN
Often combined with skullcap in the treatment of insomnia, anxiety, excitability and nervousness.
GARLIC
Has antibacterial, anti fungal, and anti viral actions, it also helps guard against parasites. The Volatile oil is excreted through the lungs, making it valuable in the treatment of bronchitis and catarrh, (as well as kennel cough). Garlic can also help stabilize the bacteria found in the gut following and upset, and is also useful in controlling blood sugar levels in diabetic animals.
SEAWEED/KELP
Rich in vitamins, minerals, and trace elements, especially iodine and potassium and generally used to improve coat condition. Cases of arthritis and rheumatism may also benefit.
